Child Care Information Service (CCIS)
The Child Care Information Service is a free statewide information service provided by the department. The service operates 24 hours and provides information to assist families in choosing child care that meets their needs.
The Child Care Information Service has information on child care services located in Queensland and can provide:
- the types of child care services available
- the location, hours of operation and contact details for services
- information on what to look for in a quality service
- information for developers and the child care industry about developing child care services
- information for students.
While the Child Care Information Service can provide contact details and other important information about services, it cannot make recommendations about a particular service.
A number of resources are available which are designed to help you find a high quality child care service that will suit the needs of your family. You can also search for child care services in your local area and access publications and links to other organisations.
