Policies

The development of policies and resources to support the legislation is critical to the implementation of the legislation. These policies operate within the department's legislative framework and direct decision making to support regional staff in meeting their statutory obligations and provide consistency.

A range of policies have been developed in consultation with regional staff, relevant directorates within the department and members of the sector. The Child Care Forum has played a role in providing feedback to ensure that the policies and resources are relevant and reflect of current best practice.

All policies have a nominated review date.

In addition to these child care policies, a range of resources have been developed.
