Statutory obligations for the engagement of staff in Queensland child care services are governed by the Child Care Act 2002 and the Child Care Regulation 2003.
Currently there are many training opportunities being provided by registered training providers in Queensland.

The Child Care Training Plan 2004-06 is now known as the Children's Services Skilling Plan 2006-09.
