Queensland Youth Council
The Queensland Youth Council provides a forum for the exchange of information and views between young people and the Queensland Government in order to assist the development of policies, programs and services that impact on the lives of Queensland’s young people. The council reports directly to the Minister for Communities, Seniors and Youth.

Council members
The Queensland Youth Council is made up of 20 young members selected from a range of backgrounds and life experiences, as well as a Department of Communities representative from the Office for Youth. Members hold the positions of Chairperson and Deputy Chairperson.
Each member brings knowledge and expertise regarding young people's issues in their region as well as their own unique perspectives. Collectively the council reflects a range of perspectives of young people across Queensland.
Council meetings
Council meetings are generally held in Brisbane over two days, twice a year. Members keep in contact between council meetings and are active in their regions throughout their term.
