Early Years Centres

The Queensland Government is establishing Early Years Centres at Nerang, Caboolture, Browns Plains and Cairns at a cost of $32 million over four years.

These centres will extend the services and support available for children and their families in these areas.

About Early Years Centres

The Early Years Centres will be ‘one-stop-shops’ where early childhood education and care, family support and health services are available for families expecting a child or with children aged up to eight years.

These services will be provided by experienced staff such as early childhood educators, family support workers and child health nurses, who will work with and provide support to parents and children.

The four Early Years Centres will also provide services from sites in neighbouring communities to families who are unable to access the centres or who prefer to go to a site closer to their home.

Children, parents and communities will all benefit from the Early Years Centres.
