Safe Haven

Safe Haven is a new support service being introduced for our children and young people in Indigenous communities who are affected by domestic and family violence.

Services will be established in Cherbourg, Palm Island, Mornington Island and Coen, and will:

• provide an immediate service for children and young people (0 to 18) to be safely away from potential harm
• provide a short-term safe environment for children and young people who are affected by domestic and family violence
• give support to families who need help to deal with the issues that cause domestic and family violence.
