Youth and Community Combined Action
The Youth and Community Combined Action program was developed in response to the Queensland Government's Juvenile Crime Strategy. The program targets twenty areas that have high local youth justice involvement to develop community crime prevention responses.
Youth and Community Combined Action connects young people to their families, school, and community through community participation, recreational, cultural, and educational activities. In so doing, participating communities aim to prevent young people from coming into contact with the juvenile justice system. Programs also provide information, referral, and support services to disadvantaged and 'at-risk' young people and their families. These activities are designed to respond to local crime problems in areas with high levels of youth offending.
