WorkUP Queensland

The Queensland Government funds WorkUP Queensland, established by the Healing Foundation in partnership with Australia’s National Research Organisation for Women’s Safety (ANROWS).

The Healing Foundation provides Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander leadership, cultural awareness and healing to enhance service delivery for First Nations clients. ANROWS contributes expertise in Knowledge, Translation and Exchange (KTE), synthesising research, and creating resources to inform policies and practices addressing violence against women.

Workforce planning

Workforce planning is a powerful tool organisations, sectors and regions can use to make sure they have the workforce they need now and for the future.

Workforce planning makes sure there are enough skilled people in the right place when they are needed. It also helps staff work together effectively and be prepared to provide the best services to support the community's wellbeing and care.

WorkUP Queensland’s strategic workforce planning approach is an evidence-based model that guides capacity and capability building across the sector.

In collaboration with the sector, WorkUP Queensland has developed statewide workforce plans.

Collaboration and support

WorkUP Queensland offers a variety of initiatives to develop and connect the workforce for a stronger, future-ready sector.  Options available for organisations and individuals include grants, workshops, resources and tailored support to meet specific challenges.
