Unify

Unify is a client information system developed to support the work of frontline child safety staff.

Following the launch of Unify in April 2025, issues were identified with the system and as a result an independent diagnostic review was commissioned from Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu (Deloitte).

The Deloitte Unify Review Report (PDF, 1.8 MB) identifies several issues including in the areas of system design, functionality and performance, data and reporting.

Work to resolve issues with Unify is progressing, and the diagnostic review will assist to continue improving the system.

As the necessary changes are made to Unify, the department’s priority is the safety of children first in everything we do.
