Mr Andrew Taukolo
Andrew Taukolo is an Australian male of Tongan descent with over 10 years’ experience in the community sector and primary prevention. His passion for working with men and young people led him to establish the Men4Respect peer support model, which engages young men in conversations that question the values, knowledge and skills required to build respectful relationships.
Andrew holds a Bachelor of Criminology and Criminal Justice from Griffith University. He has shared his expertise through multiple national and international conferences focusing on gender-based violence and youth violence issues. He has served on multiple advisory bodies including the Policy Advisory Group for the National Community Attitudes Towards Violence against Women Survey, Queensland Multicultural Advisory Council, and Vincent Fairfax Family Foundation’s Youth Advisory Council.
Andrew currently serves as the Manager of Widening Participation at the University of Queensland, where he supports underrepresented students to access and succeed in higher education. He also serves as an InnerBoy ambassador and applies his expertise as a Director of AIM Foundation and The MANA Foundation.
