Elder Abuse Prevention Unit
Provides a free statewide telephone information, support and referral service for anyone who is experiencing elder abuse or is concerned about someone they know. Also provides community education and awareness activities.

Inquiry into elder abuse in Queensland
On 10 December 2024, the Queensland Government established the Inquiry into Elder abuse in Queensland (the Inquiry) as a priority commitment under the First 100 Day Plan. On 12 March 2026 the Queensland Government tabled its response to the Committee's report, reaffirming its commitment to protecting older people in Queensland from harm and restoring community safety.
