Dr Faiza El-Higzi OAM

Faiza El-Higzi is an experienced Board Director, an academic, a PhD-qualified researcher, and a policy advisor with over 25 years of leadership across health, social policy, humanitarian aid, and multicultural advocacy. As Deputy Chair of the University of Queensland’s Cultural Inclusion Council and Chair of the Ethnic Broadcasting Association of Queensland, she has worked to amplify diverse voices and strengthen social cohesion. Faiza has also played an important role in raising awareness of DFV and informing research, policy and services that better respond to the needs of multicultural communities. Her contributions have been recognised through an Order of Australia Medal (OAM), a Queensland Multicultural Award and Premier’s Award for Innovation in Public Policy.
